Day 1: Arrival in Castro

Let the adventure begin!

• You will be met by a representative upon arrival. 

• Head to your hotel for check-in, and take some time to  unpack.

Day 2:
The Coiwin Indigenous Community 

A unique way of life

• Experience the truly indigenous Coiwin community of Kompu!

• Discover arboreal species like the Laurel bay leaf- the most important tree for the Williche!

Sail to Chala island, and see the archaeological traces of the Williche culture.

• Learn traditional agricultural techniques, which use only what nature provides for compost and fertilizers.

Day 3: Sail Through the Yaldad Estuary

Local gastronomy and coastal culture

Sail through the Yaldad estuary and learn about the fishermen, divers, and coastal culture

• Perhaps you will find shell deposits, archaeological remains of the native people!

• Try some local gastronomy "fish à la Kila",at Yaldad River for lunch!

• Explore the nearby wetland and meet the locals.  

• Why not try the traditional herb drink Mate?

Day 4: Visit to the Liukura Cmmunity

Learn the ancient techniques and arts...

• Sail to the Liukura community for a delicious meal and good conversation with the locals! 

• A workshop will teach techniques for making baskets, natural fiber handcrafts and tiles.

• Continue to Mauche Island, where you can stroll on the beach and try ancient lishing techniques!

• End this trip with a traditional meal in Liukura, and then sail back to Quellón.

Time to say goodbye! 

• After breakfast take a transfer back to the Castro airport.
