Locally-made guide

Your bags are packed and ready for Japan, you've told your friends who are all green with envy... and they have every reason to be! A trip to the Land of the Rising Sun is nothing short of spectacular. In the spring, the entire country is in full bloom as the cherry trees begin to blossom. During the summer, it's all fireworks and excitement as crowds wearing their best yukata gather round, sporting vibrant summer kimonos. Your holiday in Japan will likely start in the capital. In Tokyo there is no real city centre but a multitude of neighbourhoods, each bringing something unique to the table. Stroll in the city streets, through Tsukiji, the biggest fish market in the world. You're likely to come across the highest point of the archipel, Mount Fuji, with its magnificent snow caps and lakes. The floating Torii of the Istukushima-jinja is also a must. The door to the Miyajima sanctuary is one of the most widely-known symbols of Japan!
