Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you'll be met by a representative from our local travel agency and transferred to your hotel. Depending on the time of your flight, you and your family will have the whole day to relax or explore some of Hanoi's lakes and parks on foot.
After breakfast, you and your family will be picked up from your hotel lobby and taken on a guided city tour around Hanoi, starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex. Your visit includes the Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the Temple of Literature - Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070.
After lunch, you'll have a few hours to relax until your street food tour of Hanoi's atmospheric Old Quarter, where your English-speaking guide will give you an insight into the intricacies and traditions of Vietnamese food culture, taking you to the best local eateries around.
At 9:00 AM, you'll pick up your bikes and ride to Bat Trang village. The scenic countryside and rural villages are lush with rice fields, cornfields, and fruit farms. Upon arrival at Bat Trang Village, you'll get to see the local life and traditional handicrafts before visiting the largest ceramic markets in Hanoi. You'll then continue biking along the Red River dyke and a short ferry ride across the river will take you to Thanh Tri Village, known for its rolled rice pancakes. You'll be taught how to make this tasty local dish and get to sample it for lunch!
In the afternoon, you'll be driven back to your hotel where a one hour cyclo ride through the Old Quarter awaits you. Finally, you and your family will end the day being treated to a traditional performance of Vietnamese water puppets - a must for all visitors to Hanoi.Cycling distance: 20km (distance can be shortened upon request)
After breakfast, you and your family will be picked up at your hotel to start the scenic 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay, one of the most spectacular UNESCO world heritage areas and the world's largest marine limestone 'karst' landscape.
Upon arrival, you'll meet your boat crew and hop on board to relax and enjoy lunch as the boat heads towards secluded islands. You'll visit a hidden local gem; an ancient limestone cave where you can go sea kayaking and swimming (if weather permits!). After a sunset drink on board and a fresh seafood dinner under the stars, you'll spend the night on board.
After an optional early morning swim and some breakfast, you'll head on to a fishing village in a rustic rowing-boat. You'll pass friendly local people, floating schools, and pearl farms before cruising back to the main harbour where your private vehicle will be waiting to take you to Noi Bai Airport for your late afternoon flight to Danang. Upon arrival, you'll be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Hoi An for the night.
At 9:00 AM, your guide will meet you and your family at your hotel lobby for your private walking tour of the Old Town. On the agenda: the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, the museum, and the colourful local market. At the end of your tour, you'll have the rest of the day free to spend at leisure.
Today, you and your family will have a half-day tour getting to know Vietnam's rural culture. Accompanied by your local guide, you'll start with a gentle cycling tour along country roads, during which you'll stop off to visit an organic vegetable village, water and planting vegetable, hoe soil with a local farmer, and even ride a water buffalo in a rice paddy field!
Later you will board a boat for a river cruise to meet local fishermen and try your hand at traditional net fishing. You'll also get to try paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat in the coconut palm-filled waterways. After lunch on the boat, you'll return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free to relax.
